| Project Description
For over 50 years, due to constant political instability and turmoil, many areas in Lebanon have suffered chronic deprivation and complete marginalization by central authorities. Through the project, and with the collaboration of MOSA, Aid Lebanon – CCR intends to instill awareness on issues of social dialogue, communication, peaceful cooperation, conflict resolution, and conflict management through coaching techniques; which would ultimately support and facilitate the process of peaceful social reconciliation and public awareness. The project's initial phase will begin in the Bekaa area of Lebanon. The purpose behind using coaching in the work for conflict resolution is to rely on a multiplier effect to achieve a long-term impact and to provide sustainability and potential implementation of strategies country-wide, providing healthy dialogue among all local societies. Aid Lebanon-CCR with the partnership of Unicef, launched the conflict resolution program in the Bekaa district, covering 36 villages. The program covers Domestic. Economic- Political & Social issues. The program simulates dialogue between different groups, empowers youth, and designates MOSA centers as major players in the Bekaa district. On August 10 – 12, and with the aid of UNICEF and CADMOS, Aid Lebanon organized its first of 3 TOT workshops in Conflict Resolution as an initial introduction and capacity enhancement for its team.
